4Good in so many ways and really bad in one.
    By Tweak
[[VIDEOID:5b7dc0f6753d09cdc436537d5895b38e]] So my thoughts on this I expressed in the video but the quick and short of it...

It is pretty easily portable (luggage style handle and wheels.
Powered via battery or you can plug it in and use it.
    Lighting options available.
Pretty loud and overall good sound.
FM Radio works pretty well, not so usually in my area
MicroSD is easy to record to and delete from as well as play from. (Has to be FAT32)
Remote is good, decent range somewhere around at least 10-15 feet roughly.
Bass, Treble, EQ, Echo, Mic adjustments all work well.
    Bluetooth pairs easily, worked fine
Line in, Mic out X2...nice to have because of the below

What I didn't like...really the only dislike is the mic they included...it is pretty much terrible no matter what adjustments I attempt or where I hold it.

I found a few places with specs online about the unit so I figure maybe some of this is info that isn't know.

I don't need much beyond 90 minutes and the unit in the manual claims it will run 120 minutes, online I saw mention of 5 hours. Extremely doubtful but MAYBE I will eventually manage to reach 2 hours of use in a single use but it is highly doubtful.

Overall I really like this, I mean a lot as it is a nice offering but still the mic is a big enough let down I can't with good conscience rate it 5 stars. Luckily I won't need or want to use the mic enough to be a huge deal but it still brings the enjoyment and options down slightly.

Here are some specs I found online in the event they help but I am not 100% certain the accuracy, much of it looks right though.

4Perfect For My Swing Dance Classes
    By Product Reviews By Pam
[[VIDEOID:666470660bf2015a1da868ba1cd061c]]I run West Coast Swing Dance classes every week and a monthly dance as well. We actually run our events at a local gym that has 2 really nice wood floor rooms with lots of mirrors and the larger room has it's own sound system. I thought that was great when I started there but I've found over time that we need an alternative to both sound systems. In the small room where I do my weekly classes, they have a simple CD/Stereo system with speakers that I can patch into, but the sound doesn't carry through the room that well. And in the large room where we run our larger monthly events (where I bring in Pros to teach workshops) the echo is so bad that no one can hear the instructor, and I've wanted something that I could use a headset mic for that situation. So when I got a chance to check this system out, I jumped on it!

It's a pretty cool, low cost system as far as these PA/Sound systems go. And being low cost, you can't expect as much out of it as you would get with a system that costs twice as much. But for most of my needs, I think it's going to do nicely.

For my weekly classes, I brought it to class and set it up. I had charged it up earlier and didn't plug it in to see how the battery held up. I used the music on and off for the 90 minutes of classes, as well as for 90 full minutes of dance practice and it was still going strong when the practice ended. I loved that I could put the speaker exactly where I needed it whether I could plug it in or not (the other system is in a corner which affects the sound whereas I put this system in the front/center of the room which helped with sound clarity immensely). I played off of my Lenovo tablet and played around with the remote.

So - the remote. Maybe it's me. I'm still figuring this thing out. But a number of times when I went to skip to another track, the system changed to the radio. I don't *think* I hit the "mode" button but at the time I didn't have the instructions to try to figure out why it may have happened. I'm going to play with it a bit more and if it's an issue I may have to contact the seller but for how I'm assuming maybe it's me... but if that's the case, perhaps the layout of the buttons could be better. I may be back to update on this later once I figure out what the problem is.

Anyhow, the other thing that I want this for is for the mic. The mic that comes with it is not the style I want, so I personally don't care how well it works, but let's just say it could be improved on. I hope once I get the headset that it will sound better. I have one on order and I'll be back to report if it works better than the mic that comes with the unit. I hope it does. It would be nice to have this work for both of my situations. I'll still use the main sound system for the dance itself as I need something with a lot more power than this for the room size but if it only comes in handy for the workshops, it will make me VERY happy! My next workshop weekend is in July so I'll come back with an update about how well it works in a large, cavernous room with a number of people who won't shut up when the instructor is talking with the headset! If it passes that test that will be REALLY impressive!

The unit itself has a lot of great features. It was intuitive to set up the Bluetooth with my tablet. I turned it on and put a song on and at first the sound was waay off... but a few tweaks of the Bass and Treble controls and the sound was MUCH improved. I left my living room and went to my bedroom to sort some things and the sound was incredibly clear even though the unit was on the other side of a wall and down a hall. Other features that I'm still playing with (or may not need myself) include:

** Led lights that pulse with the music if you are into that kind of thing.
** Radio receiver(with an antenna on the back).
** Play off and record to a USB Memory stick or a TF card.
** Line in to hard wire your devices if you don't have Bluetooth on them
** Line Out/"Ear Mic to plug your headphones into
    ** 2 hardwired Aux (3.5mm) Inputs
** Handheld Wireless Mic (batteries not included)
    ** Mic Priority
** Remote control with number panel so you can go to specific tracks as will as they typical mute, volume, and forward/back controls

So - for *me* - this is a fun and useful little Sound System. So far it has delivered what I need. As I work with this more I will return if necessary to update with my experiences....

I received this for a discounted rate in exchange for my time to work with this product so I can write a fair and honest review... however, I only accept review items I need so I can give them a real trial, and thus my opinions and experiences are a real and true reflection of my experience with the product. I have received no compensation and I don't have any kind of personal/business relationship with the seller. I hope my review helps you in your purchase decisions!

2Seemed so promising yet I am extremely frustrated ...
    By ReadsALot
This machine seems so promising yet I am extremely frustrated. The manual is four tiny pages that basically just list what comes with the unit. There is no "how to" information. None. Among my frustrations: 1. Bluetooth connection does not work. When I hit "mode" to go to "Blue", the screen flashes blue continuously and there are no beeps from the machine, as other reviews have mentioned that it should do. My phone finds the device but states that I should check to make sure the Pyle machine is on and within range. (I am sitting right next to it.) 2. Because of #1, I tried plugging my phone directly into the machine via "line in" to play music. This produces no sound from the machine. As an alternative I tried plugging my phone into the whole for ear/mic, which worked for some reason. Maybe that's what I was supposed to do, but I had no way to know as there is no manual. 3. Mic priority - there is a button that, when pressed I assume, is supposed to make the music go softer when someone is speaking into the mic. I perceive no difference in the music volume when speaking into the mic, no matter whether this button is pushed or not. I watched every review video I could find on this machine and followed steps described by others, but mic priority does not work for me. 4. As other reviews have stated, the mic that comes with the machine doesn't project much sound unless your mouth is on top of it. Gross when more than one person is going to use it. But this is the least of my worries as I suppose I can get a different mic, if I keep this machine. :-(
