1It doesn't fit two out of three of my guitars
    By NH Dad
IF this fit my guitars, it looks like it would be fantastic. It won't fit my Taylor GS Mini or my SG electric. On the Taylor the connector is too wide and won't fit between the guitar strap connector and the body of the guitar. There isn't enough room and if I forced it, either the guitar or the clip would have to give. For my SG the guitar strap knob is too big to fit in the strap's hole. I ended up just putting it on one of my guitars that I rarely use because that one eventually fit. So... buyer beware. There is a very strong chance this may not fit your model guitar.

1Beware of the Locking Style Straps
    By Bill in San Diego
This review is for the locking style guitar strap. It appears that some, if not most, of the other reviews are for the conventional style strap. My present observation is that both style straps use the same collection of customer reviews. In fact, around a month ago I noticed that both styles of straps were being sold on the same web page.

Regarding the locking style strap, when I attempted to install mine, I discovered that it would not attach to either strap button on my acoustic electric guitar. On my guitar the lower button is typical combination button and 1/4-inch electric pickup output jack. The diameter of the combination button is simply too large for the locking mechanism to close around it. The upper button is mounted on the heel, and its mounting position does not allow for the locking mechanism to engage at a perpendicular angle to fit over the button.

I also attempted to install the strap on two other guitars. One was another acoustic electric and it had the same problems as described above. The other was a straight acoustic with a conventional style button on the bottom. It also had the same two problems.

I also attempted to install the strap on to a button by itself. The fit was fairly tight and allowed almost no free play. Accordingly, the strap would likely fit if you have the suitable size button and if the mounting position of the button allows engagement without other interference.

Other than the problem described, the strap appears to be well made. If the locking mechanism had fit, I would have likely given the strap five stars. In fact, the strap is likely still worthy of four or five stars if in the product description it had stated that this strap might not fit combination jack/buttons or buttons mounted on the heel of acoustic guitars.

    5Easy to use, protects guitar
    By SP in MD
Guitars cost anywhere from under $100 to thousands of dollars. Why trust a regular guitar strap that can get twisted and come off? These Planet Lock straps are great. Rather than replacing the strap buttons with strap-lock buttons, or drinking two Grolsch beers for each of my guitars (for the rubber washers), I bought a Planet Lock strap for each guitar that I play regularly. I can move a strap from one guitar to another easily. The ends are stiff plastic, so a guitar may not fit in a snug case with the strap attached. I have threee polypropylene straps,, but also bought a leather one for the guitar with "neck dive." Note that you can still use these with the idiosyncratic Gretsch strap buttons, but you may have to loosen them for eh strap lock to fit and then re-tighten them. My only complaint is that the shade of blue isn't that appealing to me.
