MXR Analog Chorus

This all-analog pedal uses bucket-brigade circuitry to create classically lush, liquid textures that you just can’t get with digital circuitry. Rate, Level, and Depth controls, as well as knobs for cutting High and Low frequencies, allow ultimate tone control. Like all MXR pedals, the M-234 Analog Chorus comes in a heavy-duty housing with durable jacks and switches for a lifetime on the road.

MXR

Since 1972, MXR has been a pioneer of the effects pedal market with the revolutionary development of tough and rugged stomp boxes, simple utilitarian designs, small sizes, and 100% rich analog tone. Today, Dunlop continues MXR's traditional pedal line of original MXR classics, as well as new modern classics like the Carbon Copy and Fullbore Metal. However, MXR continues to inspire with new designs. The MXR Custom Shop faithfully resurrects recreations of the long-lost vintage models such as the hand-wired Phase 45, as well as doing limited runs of pedals featuring premium components and highly modified designs, such as the new Custom Comp.

    5Old School Chorus
    By M. Forbes
    This pedal has the Old School sound that I was looking for. I played in bands back in the 70's and 80's and this was the sound.

    5Fantastic pedal
    By Michael Guadagno
    The MXR Analog Chorus pedal is the best chorus pedal I've ever used. It's sound is warm and smooth like you'd expect from an analog product. Plus, the volume level does not drop when the pedal is turned on.

    I've had a Boss Chorus Ensemble pedal for years, but was never happy with it because, when turned on, one amp drops in volume by a substantial amount. Not so with the MXR! Plus, the MXR sounds better than the Boss. Boss makes a good pedal, but the MXR is much better.

    MXR = 5 stars
    Boss = 3 stars

    Additionally, those 5 knobs on the MXR provide a lot of control for shaping the sound.

    5Great pedal for livening up your clean
    By Jman
    I originally purchased this pedal to keep on with my "Flashback" delay pedal while I did swells and other ambient sounds. It is a great deal for what you get. However, it is not as good at making ambiance as a "Cloud 9" or a "Corona Chorus". The price however, is simply too good to pass up if you have never owned a chorus pedal before. It is definitely professional grade. However discrete it may be, it will liven up your cleans for a warm solo or a lighthearted clean rhythm.

    I plan on purchasing another chorus pedal down the road, but I am currently very happy with this pedal and will always keep it on one of my boards. Its built like a tank and people know you have good taste when they see this guy on your board. Very small foot print, and there is definitely a wide range of options for your sound with the five knobs. Great decision to buy regardless. Its very musical.
