Product Description
The MXR Reverb delivers six distinct high end reverb styles, each exquisitely crafted and tuned by the award-winning MXR design team. It all comes in a standard-sized MXR box with a simple three-knob setup and a hi-fi analog dry path with a massive 20 volts of headroom thanks to Constant Headroom Technology. Each reverb style is as richly detailed as any found in the highest-end rack units and plug-ins, and all you have to do to step through them is push the Tone knob. The PLATE setting provides a shimmering smooth wash of space that’s a go-to choice from the studio recording world. SPRING sets a new standard for truly authentic sounding reverb without coiled metal-a perfect recreation of the classic amp-based effect, with the Tone control taking you from dark vintage amp spring, through classic jangle, to bright surfy splatter. EPIC is a unique combination of multiple interwoven analog-tone delay lines and complex modulation-perfect for solos from that more shaded part of the lunar landscape. MOD throws down a plate-flavored spaciousness with richly organic modulation in the feedback path. The ROOM style adds subtle body and projection to your guitar tone at shorter decay times while longer decay times yield rich organic space that doesn’t wash out. PAD closes out the line-up with a unique combination of sub-octave + octave-up with echoes + "shimmer" + synth/organ modulation + reverb. Connect a Dunlop DVP series volume/expression pedal to the expression jack to toggle and blend between two different knob setting configurations. The Reverb includes 100% wet mode, stereo input and output capability, and true relay or trails bypass.

    4Love this thing
    By Rich Grace
Here's an actual review, as opposed to a couple of the trolls (both positive and negative) on here who obviously didn't buy this thing and just want to pimp their preferred device. This is a _very_good_ reverb unit. The M300 doesn't quite have the wide range of reverb offerings of the more-expensive Strymon BlueSky (widely considered the best mid-price reverb pedal on the market). I guess its most obvious competition is the TC Hall of Fame, which is priced considerably lower than the MXR and has a similar form factor and range of reverb types (the HoF does have several more reverb types to select and has true stereo in and out without using adapters). Pricewise, it's closest to the Mr. Black Supermoon series, which is next on my plate of modulation purchases. Unlike other reviewers, I will not attempt to compare the M300 to devices that I haven't actually owned.
The M300 has a dark, sumptuous reverb tone which doesn't suck the volume out of your signal. It's at the end of a seven-device chain on my pedalboard, and it sings out clear as day. Although it's digital like the Strymon, I think I actually prefer the tone out of this device compared to the Strymon, as it doesn't sound quite as sterile to my ears. That's not a definitive comparison but simply a personal observation. So far, I'm particularly fond of the Plate, Spring and Epic reverbs and have spent hours tweaking and exploring them. With all three knobs at 2:00, the Mod reverb gets a very soulful tone for songs like "Girl of my Best Friend." The Pad reverb gets some of the same trailing keyboard-like artifacts that you can get in some of the Strymon's more esoteric settings. It's quite beautiful, especially with the Tone at 5:00 and the Blend at 3:00, but probably isn't a great fit for most covers. I'd love to hear this on a big Marshall or Mesa stack.
Because mine sits next to an MXR Carbon Copy delay, I'm finding that the combination of the two is a fantastic match, besides looking virtually identical. Recommend getting both if you want a straightforward, pleasing modulation sound with enough versatility to get a lot of tones while having an easy-to-dial-in recognizable sound for a lot of your band covers. That's why I went with MXR this time.
Unlike the Carbon Copy, the M300 needs 250ma from your 9V power, so you need to use the bundled adapter or an external power brick. If you try to connect it to a 100ma 9V, the LED will flick on and off and the device will not operate. Batteries are not supported. The docs are pretty limited - for more ideas, you just can't beat YouTube.
Just bear in mind that this item is not cheap; it's one of MXR's more-expensive pedals; it may not offer all the bells and whistles you're looking for that yet more-expensive devices do. If you own a Hall of Fame, I'd recommend comparing both with your ears first or checking out the videos. If you already have a Strymon, I'd say stick with that. If you play a lot of surf music or soul music, you can't go wrong with this on your pedalboard. It's very accessible and usable, the sound is excellent, and even though it's not the most esoteric reverb out there, it's one of MXR/Dunlop's most solid pedals I've tried.

4If you want different reverbs in one pedal but like to keep your pedalboard simple get this pedal
    By Alejandro Villarreal Diaz
If you want different reverbs in one pedal but like to keep your pedalboard simple get this pedal. It adds a nice touch to your tone and all the different types are usable. Great build. I use it at the end of my chain after a delay pedal and every time I go clean you hear it complimenting your tone.
