I was looking for a set of bongos to use in my studio for folks that just want to bang along with the music - these were a good price and I figured, what the heck, if they got destroyed or something, I wouldn't be out much. Turns out they are very nice, have a wonderful sound and I have used them in recordings where they sound really nice!

Set was warped where joined, would not sit flat, tips, rocks. Skins on drum head top were defectively thin. Poor Quality Unit.

The set I got was warped where joined, would not sit flat, tips, rocks.
The skins on drum head top were defectively thin with light shining through.
This means the stretch will never be even enough to keep them in tune.
The tension adjusters were almost as tight as they could be, not leaving any margins for the leather tops to stretch much farther.
Flat dull tone. Made in Thailand. Inspected at the factory. Ha Ha.
From Amazon Warehouse Deals - buyer beware when getting fragile or delicate items from that vendors that resells returned goods.
This was a bad unit. A good unit would have received a good review.

Very nice, good workmanship
Let me start by saying we aren't bongo players, we just tap on these things, my almost 6 y-o really wanted them for Christmas. They were a last minute order and with bad weather they didn't make it here in time, but a few days after Christmas when they arrived I checked them out and you could just tell that they are really nicely made. They came well packed, with a tuning key, and they really sound great! They're just gorgeous, so I wrapped them and brought them to my daughter and said I forgot to put this one under the tree! She was entirely surprised and so happy to receive them! They're much , much nicer than I expected for the price, I paid around 45 dollars. We have been having a lot of fun with them, when friends stop by for a visit people can't help but pick them up and drum :) and that's what music shall about!
