Product Description
Want a bass with an attitude that won't break the bank? Grab Jackson's JS3 Concert Bass and unleash some fury. The topped with gorgeous figured maple, the basswood body sets a solid foundation for the fast-playing maple neck with compound radius fingerboard. The compound radius makes rhythm playing near the first few frets easier, and as you move up the neck the fingerboard gets flatter for faster runs and smoother string bends. It's a subtle difference that your fingers will love, and isn't normally found on basses in this price range.

    5Great bass for the money
    By Vince B
I've always loved Jackson guitars, and I love the sound of their basses too, so I bought this one. After an initial setup (truss rod adjustment mostly), it plays great, sounds great and looks great (very good looking guitar), I love the 3 way eq it has too. I can make it sound like David Ellefson's bass, or I can adjust the eq and make it sound like a boring Fender if I want to, love it. 24 frets on it is a plus, too. I would have bought one of the Ellefson signatures instead of this, but they only have 21 frets so that was a deal breaker.

The only gripe I have with it is that the shark fin inlay on the first fret isn't like the other inlays on the fretboard. It's not tucked up to the fret like all the rest, someone at the factory must have made a huge screw up, because all of the lower end basses have this same problem, you can see it in the pics too.
