Most Comfortable, Durable, Noise Isolating Headphones I have ever used. 2 time owner.
Best headphones I have owned for long periods of use. I literally wear headphones 8-12 hours a day, from work and at my house. I live in a dog friendly apartment building and have a Lab/Great Dane above me... on wood floors. The building is old and almost impossible to listen to TV, or Gaming on normal tv audio. I have tried Beyerdynamics, Astros, Logitechsm Turtle Bays, Sony, Bose, Audio Technica. I have had better Quality sounding headphones, but none surpasses in comfort, noise isolation and durability. What makes these great, is the thinness of them compared to other Pro headsets. I have fallen asleep countless times on my couch with these on, tossed and turned and was perfectly comfortable. These are THE BEST noise isolation headphones I have used to date,. When these are on, its like heaven as most outside noises unless real loud wont be heard. Quality of sound is outstanding, the 580's and the Beyer 770's slightly better but not as good in noise isolation or comfort for long periods, including laying with them on. Lastly, durabolity. I just broke my last 380's by stepping on them. It was prob the 20th time they have been stepped on. I have stretched the cord, twisted under just usage to point the wires were showing at top. the padding insides were just starting to tear. This is after 2 years of use at least 8 hours a day. I havent had a headset hold up for as long and as well, the the everyday abuse I put these through. If you need a comfortable durability headset for everyday use. This is by far it. In fact just ordered my second pair!

A nice replacement for my HD280 Pros
By Paul V. Damasco
Quick review for now. I had a pair of HD 280pros before these. I got them as a replacement because the headband was falling apart on the 280s and these supposedly have better bass response and a clearer sound.
1. Not nearly as heavy as the 280pros.
2. improved clarity on higher frequency instruments.
3. Storage case is really nice to have for travel.
4. Better sound stage than the 280s
5. Extremely comfortable for hours of use. I don't even notice they are on
1. The bass is clearer but not as rich and resonant as the 280s, but it is overall louder with more direction.
2. They are not a sturdy feeling as more expensive models and other brands such as AKG/BOSE/Grado

Great for Sound, OK for Travel
By Theoretical Schism
I actually bought a second pair for the office, after using them at home.
These headphones are beautiful for listening at home, if you love fidelity and hate waking your wife and children. I have yet to hear any distortion at any listening level. I have forgotten that I am wearing these, a number of times, and torn the plug out of the socket by leaving my office, without any noticeable damage to either. They are very comfortable.
I also love that people can tell that I am wearing headphones and I can use them as a signal (at work) that I am concentrating and would prefer that you either write your question down and ask it later or email me. Earbuds can also give me relatively good sound reproduction, but often people cannot see them until they have already distracted me.
Also... did I mention the amazing sound?
I travel several times a year for work, and that is when I found the only two downsides to this set of headphones: 1. With these, I can still hear the jet engines and screaming human larvae. Fortunately for Sennheiser, I have yet to try a pair of noise canceling headphones that can even compare to the comfort of the HD 380s. My Klipsch R6 earbuds Klipsch R6 In-Ear Headphones actually keep out more sound than this set. 2. The headphones are not insubstantial, and the case is bulky as can be. If I use the case, I lose room for two notebooks and an iPad in my carry-on.
1. Excellent response: crisp highs and thorough mids
2. Solid bass, but not overpowered
3. Comfortable AF
4. Good looking (not flashy or hugely branded, but imposingly professional)
5. Nice case
1. Sound isolation could be better
2. Case is bulky
